There's a Region B locked copy in the U.K. it's titled Switchblade Romance.

As many may or may not know, this is getting released in here in the states on Oct 05, 2010!

I'm really hoping for the native French language in lossless. This movie is far more scary when reading subtitles IMO

Random jabber warning:
I wonder if Lionsgate is gonna port over Optimum's encode like they did with "Near Dark"? I sure hope not, as the import has zero special features. As we all know most Americans dislike reading while watching movies, so you know Lionsgate is very likely to include the same English dub they gave us with the US DVD release. The only way they could make this fit would be to remove the French 5.1 DTS-HD-MA and replace it with the dub.. Then we would still be getting raped with zero features. I'm hoping both soundtracks receive the lossless treatment and we get a 50GB high bitrate encode along with decked out special features

There was an announcement for this in the news section the other week. Along with High Tension Lionsgate will also be releasing 2001 Maniacs, Bad Lieutenant (original), Blair Witch Project, Open Water 1&2, Hard Candy, Secretary and Wonderland in October.

The special features on all of these appear to duplicate the earlier Artisan/Lionsgate dvds. So High Tension won't be bare bones like the UK blu. And I imagine the audio/language options will probably be the same as the dvd too. So yes, I think there's a good chance it will be BD50.

I thought it was clear that I knew people 'may' or may not be aware of it coming out? I wasn't claiming to be breaking news here. I'm just surprised we didn't have a dedicated thread for High Tension.

Now this I somehow missed

I'm guessing I was so geeked about High Tension and Hard Candy that I didn't read the details.. or it slipped my mind. All I remember was updating my wish-list and leaving the house giddy like a school girl haha.

It would be nice (but doubtful) if we could get HD extras.. I know that's asking a lot for a soon to be $10 title. I'm repeating myself but as I said before, my only real concern would be having lossless for the native soundtrack and not just the dub.. as we all know, the English dub is a poor one.

Love this movie. One of my favorite horror movies of the millenium next to The Descent. Will be picking it up for sure.

Inside and Frontier(s) is out in Scandinavia. Unfortunately they're not compatible with US players...

loved the movie, but I never understood the twist at the end, the twist makes the rest of the movie make no sense at all. I understand what they are saying but piecing it all together just doesn't seem to work afterwards.

my favorite part was the beginning when she was listening to music in bed.
