Man, that poster looks total original, like a completely original concept or something, I can't think of any parallel between this film and another film, and even if there was one, it probably wasn't a big success and critical award winner like this film has hopes of becoming.

I even thought it was a straight-to-dvd sequel to that one when I had the first glimp at this poster.

Stephen Daldry may just be the most boring director in the world. Everything he makes is polite Oscar bait and this even looks like a previous best film winner.

While I speak and write also in Portuguese, I had a hard time at first understanding what the kids were saying, but eventually understood their Brazilian Portuguese accent albeit I was still left a bit clueless at times.

The movie was essentially about money gone missing and I enjoyed it, these Brazilian flicks tend to feel original and unique without copying others so it's a breath of fresh air.

You know, Brazil could be a prosperous country, problem is the govt just ain't interested in fixing their country. I guess that'd cost them too much cake.

By the way, Wagner Moira always reminds me of Mark Ruffalo. They're almost identical!

Despite being Brazilian and somewhat of a Stephen Daldry fan, I've never mustered up enough enthusiasm to watch this. It looks "touching" and "exotic" in the worst sense of the words.
