I could have sworn there was already a thread for this film.

Day 1!!!
I also can't find the 2 pack Blu-Ray in any stores... Actually, none of the stores have any of the Muppet films.
Hopefully There will be a "Push" with Muppet Movies around then.

Very cool. Looking forward to it - hilarious movie. Here's hoping the "Statler and Waldorf Cut" bonus could be quite funny, too, in a faux MST3K style perhaps?

Oh man, August 12th? Really? I've already got Tarzan and Hercules pre-ordered for then and the next Looney Tunes Blu-ray! That'll be a big day for Blu-ray lol.

Also, I don't know what they mean by "unnecessarily" extended... there's nothing unnecessary about extra Muppet stuff

I think the name was to make sound funny. You know Muppet-y funny.

Are they seriously releasing six titles on the same day? What the ****, Disney.

They've done it before.

August 21, 2012:

- Pocahontas
- The Tigger Movie
- Chimpanzee
- Lady and the Tramp II
- The Aristocats
- The Rescuers

They've also had other "haul" days:

March 12, 2013:

- Brother Bear
- Mulan
- The Hunchback of Notre Dame
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Kind of like Christmas.

I never knew a Muppet film was this deserving of multiple cuts, but I'm in! I haven't seen this yet, so I'm hoping it will be worth the $25

I never saw this but really wanted to. I'll probably just blind buy. It looked better than the first.

Honestly, it wasn't. That said, it was still a lot of fun and well worth buying. If you like the Muppets, you'll enjoy this. The scenes with Ty Burrell's French Interpol Inspector and Sam Eagle were especially brilliant and hilarious.

I wouldn't really say it's *better* than the first one, just different. In a good way. Much like how Great Muppet Caper is very different from The Muppet Movie, but they're both fantastic.

Definitely worth buying!

To me, it was so much better than the 2011 one, which felt like "Jason Segel featuring The Muppets" and had that sentimental feeling to it, nothing at all like how The Muppets are usually portrayed. This felt like a Muppet film. There was a lot of humor and it was actually about them and less about the humans. The only thing I'd say was bad about it was Ricky Gervais, who just seemed like he didn't want to be there, and not in that ironic way. But I still highly recommend it.

I'll probably get this as a commitment title for DMC. Never got a chance to see it in theaters.

+1

I tried rewatching the 2011 film and yes it just made me cringe - go away Jason, far away...

and the cameos in this was far superior than the last film.

I agree with this. This seemed like a Muppet focused film while the last was more about Jason Segal and Amy Adams.

Was this one not done in 7.1 or Atmos like the first film?
