An announcement that the venerable Bunker Hill Military Academy, a 141 year old institute, is to be torn down and replaced with condos sets off the young cadets led by their stodgy commander (George C. Scott). Under the command of a student cadet major (Timothy Hutton), the cadets seize the campus, refuse entry of the construction crews and ultimately confront the real military.

This is a movie I haven't seen in many years. It is definitely something I'd forgotten about how great it is. The casting is fantastic and this is one of those rare cases where Tom Cruise was actually very good in his role before that was all destroyed by his scientology brainwashing. Anyways, I saw a familiar face that took me a moment to realize who he was, Evan Handler as Edward West. He looks much different from his role as Charlie on Californication but I didn't know he acted 30 years ago. I love the case for the 25th anniversary edition I just found on Amazon, I didn't know they ever re-released this from the old print. Overall this was a damn good movie, anybody else out there love this classic military movie?
