If it was early 90's and the studio didn't just want the animated cast, I'd definitely put down John Candy for Homer. He would've nailed that fine line of oafish but well-intentioned.

I remember Mike Judge was considering doing a live-action Beavis and Butt-Head movie at one point. I certainly wouldn't have watched it, but it would make me die a little knowing that it existed. Fortunately, he came to his senses.

This is how I feel about a live-action Simpsons movie. Even in this make-believe scenario, I just can't fathom it.

I will not further participate in this blasphemy (because 1990s Simpsons is a masterpiece)... yet... I don't know why, but I once imagined Bruce Willis as Homer Simpson, delivering a comedic performance in a similar fashion as he did in Death Becomes Her.
