The Archive has become the releasing vehicle for any catalog film that brick-and-mortar stores will not stock. These days, that's almost everything.

There's no judgment involved, just a simple question directed to Target, Wal-Mart and Best Buy: "Will you put this title in your stores?" If the answer is no, as it almost always is, the title is released through Warner Archive.

I never got to see this movie but I've been waiting for it to get released ever since I saw this music video using some of the film footage. I'm looking forward to the blindbuy. It probably has spoilers in it though for anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet.
