Default 4k player with dual hdmi ?

I have the sony ubp-800 player ,a Marantz sr 5010 and a lg 65sk8000pua.
Dumb question would it benefit me to run the video strait to the tv and the audio to my reciever ? I have it going through the reciever then going to the tv now. I would have to run a extra hdmi for the on screen for the reciever or just leave it as it is and use the pass through .

Thanks

Leave it as is. Both HDMI ports in the back of the player are for people that do not have 4K/Dolby Vision/HDR receivers, so they send the 4K video signal to the tv and the audio to the receiver.

Have a day off and I wanted to mess with this new tv a bit. Thank you

It's up to you, but some people prefer to send the audio only to the receiver so they can use the TV's picture picture settings for their UHD player (it depends on the other devices plugged into the AVR), as well as the benefit of using the LG's universal remote.

Gonna try it. used to always hook them up separate before hdmi. The only other video source I have hooked to the receiver is a android box that I hardly use. I think physical media is better imo. I know the receiver has all the audio but not sure on the video.. thank you
