Default Netflix's "Narcos: Mexico" (Season 2)

Quote:
“Narcos: Mexico will explore the origins of the modern drug war by going back to its roots, beginning at a time when the Mexican trafficking world was a loose and disorganized confederation of independent growers and dealers. Witness the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s as Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) takes the helm, unifying traffickers in order to build an empire. When DEA agent Kiki Camarena (Michael Peńa) moves his wife and young son from California to Guadalajara to take on a new post, he quickly learns that his assignment will be more challenging than he ever could have imagined. As Kiki garners intelligence on Félix and becomes more entangled in his mission, a tragic chain of events unfold, affecting the drug trade and the war against it for years to come.”

Narcos not getting a Region A Blu-ray and Peaky Blinders seasons 3 and 4 not getting one either is why I'm buying my first region free Blu-ray player in a couple of months. The UK gets everything on Blu-ray the U.S. doesn't.

OT: Haven't gotten around to watching this yet, will do so this week. I'm very excited. One of the best Netflix shows ever.

Didn’t care for it compared to the first 3 which I’ve watched multiple times... maybe it was acting or pacing but being a prequel of sorts was kinda a turn off. Hoping they can really ramp it up next time around

It's not a prequel, if you paid attention to the events depicted.

The first season is setting up the whole Mexico cartel which takes the same as Cali Cartel story by next season it should start connecting.

It actually is relative to the LAST season. Where Pablo is gone and it’s about finishing up Cali. Also episode 3 of season one mentions him dying to save all DEA agents, so while their are points in which the timeline is within season 1/2... it’s a prequel bud Maybe you shoulda paid attention

Seesh up to episode talk about how much graphic violence in this season of Narcos YIKES! But if you know the story about the characters the true story obviously this should not come as a shocker to anyone, no spoiling but I wonder if they stay true to what happens to Kiki because I read about the real life DEA and yeah truly sick ****s.

I’m only on episode 3, and so far I’m enjoying everything except Michael Pena. Dude seems too goofy to be taken seriously in this role.

Damn this season starts good in the first 5 or 6 episodes then becomes an absolute snoozefest in episodes 7 and 8. I'm struggling to get through 8. Rafa is such a shitty and annoying character.

I always find it hilarious when people say this because you know there's a 100% chance they'll actually never punch that person in the face if they ever met them. Grow up.

I went back and caught all seasons of Narcos: Colombia. This Narcos universe is pretty awesome, I loved all 4 seasons.

Mexico S1 > Colombia S1 for me because Colombia had more stuff with the Government that I didnt find as interesting vs what was going in Mexico. But I like Escobar more than Gallardo.

I wonder if we’ll get a cameo in Season 2 from the Agent Pena. Dat be cool to see.
