Default 3:10 to Yuma Stuck on Load Screen (Sammy 1200)

Has anyone else had this issue?

It gets to the gears and says "loading" but then never pays off.

I just updated the F/W with the update labeled 12-11.

Suggestions? Besides demanding that Samsung upgrade my player?

Check the 1200 thread and you'll see you're not the only one. Be prepared to wait a looooooooooooong time to watch this movie on your Samsuck. We're still waiting for the Pirates AWE firmware update.

You can update the Philips with the Samsung BDP1000 firmware (same machine but with Philips slapped on it). Only thing is when you power it up it will have Samsung on your television screen.

3:10 plays on the 1000, but damn, it takes forever to load. About 5 minutes. Never had one take that long. Hoping Samsung gets on the ball with updates for everyone.

UPDATE:

Spoke with a nice Texan from Samsung today who had evidently been barraged with similar calls all week.

He assured me that there is a firmware update coming by next week, the week of January 14th. He said that the issue with all the discs is the same issue (Sunshine, Pirates, 3:10) and will be remedied by this firmware update. He said if there is no update next week to call back.

I had him note the specifics in my file that I have called, performed 3 firmware updates already and have been very unhappy with the sub-par compatability of the Samsung 1200 player. I told him that the next time I call, it would be to demand that Samsung buy me a Panasonic or Sony player for my troubles.

We'll see. I'm going to watch the Samsung site all next week and will post if I see the upgrade become available.

Whew! Thank god I bought a Panny. *breathes sigh of relief* I got burned on a POS Samsung HTiB six years ago--center speaker crapped out one and a half years after I got it. Swore never to buy Sammy again if I had a choice. My sincerest sympathies--been there, done that.

I agree, PS3 is the way to go. No load times and quick updates. By the way, the movie looks great, sorry, not trying to rub salt in the wound, but it does look great.
