80 years ago today Joker debuted in Batman Comics in 1940. Since than he has had many different looks many actors playing the character and many voice actors giving their take on the character

Nicholson and Hamill's versions are classics, and while I think Ledger deserved the Oscar, I doubt the Academy would have honored him if he had lived.

1. Phoenix (deserves his Best Actor Oscar)
2. Hamill (for a long time if I would ever read a Joker comic, except for maybe something like Dark Knight Returns which is so different, I would hear his voice in my head as the character)
3. Ledger (amazing performance which I appreciate more with each viewing, still think he could’ve used a bit more screen time to really flesh out the character, but they may have been saving something for the hypothetical sequel performance)
