Default Sony XBR color space

I havent found a good explanation as to what each color space setting actually means.

Auto
SRGB/BT.709
DCI
Adobe RGB
BT.2020

I have been using Auto for the last year. After following the calibration settings from Rtings I felt the picture looked very drab. BT.2020 gives a more vibrant colors without a washed out appearance. I would still like to know an explanation of what each setting does, doesn't do (with HDR signal maybe?), Etc. I appreciate any input. Cheers!

Here are a few pages with info, that might help or maybe even confuse you more. Good Luck :

Awesome thanks! That first article, whoosh! Lots of it soared over my head haha. The second article touched a bit on different color spaces I recognize. It seems to say the BT.2020 is a wide gamut space used for UHDTV, so I think I'm safe with it? I'll bounce between cable, game and disc content to see if I'm happy with it.

This is because you just can not copy another set’s calibration settings to another. You can have 9 identical TVs and the calibration settings will be different on all of them.

Just hire a professional calibrator if you really care about accurate presentation on your display.
