There's also the project of his that I was most interested in of everything that he's done in the past 25 years, that seems to have completely been abandoned, as well.
In 2014, it was announced that De Palma was going to make a film called, "Retribution", that would star Al Pacino (!) as an elderly former detective whose brilliance is called upon to help solve a serial killer case. The catch? The old detective suffers from Alzheimer's, and so he constantly forgets things. It sounded different and intriguing enough, and it would reunite Pacino with De Palma. I'd hoped it might be a nice late career picture for both of them. But it never happened, and I haven't heard it mentioned since early 2015 or so. |

His 80s film have great titles.
Someone should send him a title generator and load it up with 80s popular catch phrases/words. |

I'd love to see him on form again but after the atrocious Domino, maybe it's time to retire

I agree that Domino is one of his worst films, but I wouldn't say it justifies wishing for his retirement since it was deeply compromised thanks to troubled production and post-production. I'd love to see him make at least one more film, this time with a trustworthy producer.
