Anyone know if there are any plans to release these two Indies on BLU?

Would like to see Once on Blu... great flick... although it was made for 100K so not sure how it would be on Blu vs the DVD.

For me, the audio of the SD was great so I imagine they could make it even better on BLU, even if the picture was just OK the audio would be worth it.

it's strange we haven't heard a peep out of Fox Home Video over the release of 'Once' onto blu - since the 'musical' version won this year's Tony for 'Best Musical'

Once is out in the UK and the disc is Region Free. (the extras are in PAL, however, but the feature plays perfectly in a US ps3)

It is also consistently dirt cheap.

No love here for Waitress yet??!! This would look fantastic on blu. This is a very colorful film... especially the pies (I will never forget "Bad Baby Pie"), so for that alone, I'm looking forward to the blu-ray.

And for those that don't know this movie... it is terrific. Great story, great performances. The late Andy Griffiths played an unforgettable grumpy old man with a hidden heart of gold. The backstory of the movie is also compelling.

So yeah... bring on the BLU!

Reviving this old thread.

We got Once but are still waiting on Waitress. I would have thought that, with the success of the Broadway musical, there would be a lot of interest in bringing this to Blu-ray. No doubt it would sell better than the DVD did way back when it came out. Most people probably never heard of this film until the musical, but now it seems to be pretty well known. I think Fox is missing out on some good profits from a Blu-ray release.
