Security Cameras, Etc

I'm on the lookout to get some security cameras/surveillance cameras for my house this year and hoping to find some good Black Friday deals.

I'm also looking for recommendations on products, and feedback/suggestions.

Do you live in an urban area? Crime is terrible in the city limits around here. It's one of those things that you can't be outright paranoid about but probably need to have some precautions. A dog could help, as could taller bushes around ground level windows. Ring is one of those things that I'm not sure about as I've heard a lot of thieves will just unscrew them from your door area and run off with them. People around here will steal from patios, porches and even backyard furniture. And if you have mail sitting by your front door, people will steal it as well and it's annoying.

not exactly urban, but i will possibly be traveling for work a lot and figured its best to look into it. a coworker had their house broken into last week and that also has been playing on my mind.

i bought a ring on black friday for starters, and i'll continue to keep researching. i see Arlo cameras on Best Buys Deal of the Day pretty frequently but I don't know much about them

Nextdoor's a pretty good app as well. Even if you aren't buddies with your neighbors now, you might be surprised at the amount of activity on the apps. People will probably look out for you and might notice if anything goes down. A camera could help - very rarely see them around here even with the crime. And things like motion sensing lights. It's usually more typical to just see those warning signs that a property has a security system, but every little measure could probably help.
