I saw Finding Dory last night and I loved it! It was both funny and heartwarming. Day one for sure!

I especially found the part
[Show spoiler]“Hello. I’m Sigourney Weaver.”
to be hilarious .

Just like there was for The Good Dinosaur, and Inside Out, and Brave, and Monsters University, and Cars 2. Pixar has continued to release their films in 3D.

I personally wish they had more power and gumption to include the Dolby Atmos mixes of their features onto bluray - the Atmos mix of 'Finding Dory' is so beautiful and intricate.

You're right. But its parent company changes its mind so much, you never know. I thought for sure Jungle Book, if not Alice or The Finest Hours, would be in 3D, since Zootopia was and Jungle book was so lauded for its 3D. But, nope.

There also were two years between Monsters University (2013/14), which came out as Disney was stopping its BD3D production, and Inside Out (2015/16). Many people were surprised both Inside Out and Good Dinosaur made it in 3D.

But, you are right regarding Pixar. Let's just say I won't be surprised if/when BD3D is no longer supported by Pixar, though. EDIT: At least in the States.

I guess basically I'm saying "Past practices do not necessarily denote future actions."

I find it insulting that director Jon Favreau took the money and time to shoot Jungle Book in native 3D - only to have Disney Home Video (US) turn a blind eye - they take ignorance to whole new levels.

I'm with you there. I wish he'd speak out -- but he wants to keep doing the sequels, I'm sure.

I watched this last night and I absolutely loved it! Even if its not as good as Finding Nemo, its still a worthy sequel and a great companion piece to the original film. Pixar tends to do really good Blu-ray releases, so I can't wait to pick this up in a few months!

How does the member, who submitted the listing for both the standard blu-ray combo pack and the 3D blu-ray combo pack, know that there will be at least two 2D blu-ray disc? The movie just came out in theaters yesterday.

Other retailers, Amazon in particular, have it listed as coming with two Blu-ray discs. Plus, someone correct me if I am wrong, don't Pixar's sequels usually come with two Blu-rays most of the time anyways?

True. I guess it was listed based on Amazon's pre-order listing. The Good Dinosaur only had one blu-ray disc, but also wasn't a sequel. I know that Pixar/Disney has a good trend of releasing 3D disc as well as extra blu-ray disc, but never thought it would mostly apply for sequels.

As with most pixar movies, Inside out being the most recent example, I suspect this to come out in November.

Default Just saw it!

I just saw this and it was great! The emotion was extremely well, emotional! I do think that it's not as funny as Finding Nemo, nor are the visuals as good but it's still a good animated movie. Will buy Blu-Ray!

I adored this movie. Felt different from Finding Nemo in so many ways, that I can't get a clear better/worse vibe - both a very different films, and both are awesome. I lost it when
[Show spoiler]Dory is reunited with her parents
. This was probably the roughest movie to get through since Inside Out.

This film was great. Not as good as Nemo but still a worthy companion. Day one for sure!
