Ardent classic cinema fans (or even casual ones) will want to be a part of this as Our Gang crosses over into iconic cultural status, and are not limited to just fans of cinema.

Please continue to post, share and talk about this and make sure to check out the video if you haven't already. It gives fans just a glimpse of what they will be in store for. The difference for most shorts will be like watching them for the first time. They'll be THAT good.

OMG!! Wonderful memories from my childhood watching it on KTLA, If I remember correctly. Alfalfa, Spanky, Stymie, Darla, Buckwheat, Froggy, Farina & all the rest, can't wait to see you guys again.

This news just made my day! The current DVDs are sourced from the last (only?) major restoration which was done in the 90s. Very good for the time but certainly nowhere near what the source elements could yield. Will support this release any way I can.

Additionally, would be great to have the Leonard Maltin intros from the Log Cabin VHS/DVD releases included as a bonus.

I grew up watching them on KTLA too. The shorts were hosted by the late, great Tom Hatten (who also introduced Los Angeles viewers to the black and white Popeye cartoons, Jay Ward's George Of The Jungle, and movies from the golden age on his "Family Film Festival" show on the weekends). On disc 2 of The Little Rascals DVD set from Genius, they included a short video introduction from him.

I agree especially because only half of the Leonard Maltin intros (volumes 1-12) made it to DVD. Volumes 13-21 never got released by Cabin Fever on DVD.

. I remember him before turning on the film projector, Mr. Hatten would introduce the Popeye Fleischer shorts, Pipi Longstocking films, Hoppity Goes to Town, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, & Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory to name a few. I think this is where I started my love of films. Later on I was introduced to double bills of Grindhouse Horror films @ the Carson Twin Cinema but that's another story.

You got it! "Nowhere near" will an understatement.

The two we've restored so far for the promo reel have literally taken my breath away while I was watching them -- and I do this for a living. That has never happened before.

I actually didn't think it was possible to get them to look this beautiful and stunning given the awful state of the film elements, but they do.

Sounds like an interesting set. I have to admit though that I've always been decidedly "meh" about the Our Gang series. I picked up the DVD set quite a few years ago and went through much of it. Based on what I saw, I thought the shorts were ok, even charming at times, but not particularly memorable. Depending upon the details and pricing of this new set, I might bite and give Spanky, Alfalfa, Darla, and company another chance.
