For me his best will always be Lethal Weapon(1987). He is Martin Riggs.
Conspiracy Theory,The Bounty and Payback were all good ones.

Get the Gringo was fun as hell.

However,I didn't like his turn on W Wallace. Not believeable as Scottish. Great movie(even though, totally historically wrong),with great directions. But Gibson was miscast. He was better in Patriot.

I think it's Braveheart. Whether he is miscast or not it doesn't mean his performance isn't good.

It is Braveheart, that was his magnum opus.

... of course, everything else he's done in his career pales in comparison to Apocalypto. Frickin masterpiece
I do love What Women Want, I need to see that one again soon.

His running speed in this movie and Lethal Weapon 2 when he was running after the car on foot was insane.

I voted for Signs. Lethal Weapon and Man Without A Face would be toss-up choices.

I have to give it to Patriot as his best performance. I like Gibson but I wish he was a better actor. He's like Harrison Ford, a likeable character but a very poor actor. They should do a movie together.

My personal faves are the Lethal Weapon movies, and Forever Young. I've never been a Mad Max fan, and most of the rest I haven't seen.

I just watched The Patriot within the last couple weeks so I voted there, powerful performance. I watched all the Lethal Weapon sequels and Braveheart within the last couple years, but couldn't vote there because they're not as fresh on my mind. Those were all the one's I was deciding between.

Braveheart was his best role for sure with The Patriot and We Were Soldiers coming very close.
