Standard Blu-ray US release: November 13th, 2018. No 4K SKU to be found. Think that German one will get cancelled, like seen on Roman J. Israel, Esq. (2017).

God, Sony sucks. Atleast Fox and Lionsgate will release something no matter how hard it tanked (Darkest Minds, Kin, etc)

It’s bizarre that Sony dumped plans to release the 4K Blu-ray of Alpha, as clips have been used for IMAX Enhanced demos over the last couple of months, giving the impression an IMAX Enhanced disc was due. I guess it’s just another US streaming excluding on Fandango Now. The push toward digital only really sucks.

I'm more disappointed about the lack of 3D on this title. It was clearly shot for 3D.

Anyone seen the dolby vision iTunes and can say something on PQ? Does it keep any imax ratio? I rather have a UHD but doesn't seem we will get that anytime soon.

I've only seen a little bit of the Dolby Vision Vudu version and it looks gorgeous, but for this it's the original AR of 2.39 - which was the case for it's IMAX presentation as well. Would be curious to see what the 'IMAX enchanced' version would look from FandangoNow when they release that version if the framing is different - that version though will be the only one that has the original IMAX 12-channel configuration sound design.

You and me both. I was lucky enough to catch the movie in IMAX 3D and thought it was stunning.

Any word on this getting a 4K UK / US release? I'm debating whether to buy the blu ray or wait for 4k, which might never happen.
