Was just thinking of this one. Been buying lots of Sherlock Holmes on BD lately. Will add this to the collection.

Great, no English subs. But since they exist and Olive is too cheap to include them, I guess I'll have to burn my own copy.

Yep, it's been a good year for Holmes fans. Hopefully, Young Sherlock Holmes is on the way soon.

I watched this once, long time ago, and it's a good comedy. It helps that I'm a huge of Sir Michael Caine.

And I also dig the Sherlock Holmes stories,so...

Awesome, fantastic film! The MGM back catalogue release announcements are coming thick and fast from Olive and Kino. Kingsley and Caine are wonderful.

My fave line: "His real name is Arty Morty!"

Great to find others love this movie too, thought my dad and i were the only ones!!

A truly underrated flick IMHO, Caine and Kingsley are great in it.

Hope it's a good transfer!

I'll definitely pick this up if the transfer is decent. Haven't seen before but that casting combination sounds irresistible.

I am beyond excited about this announcement! One of my favorite, nearly-forgotten comedies. Very glad to upgrade the old pan&scan DVD. Thank you, Olive!

Me too, I used to have this on VHS back in the day (copied off of HBO), and nearly wore that tape out. The US DVD was only pan and scan, and I don't think a proper widescreen presentation has ever been released.

This will be a day 1 purchase for me, Olive Films have aside from one film (Moontrap) have been great picture quality wise.

I've been considering buying this title on DVD recently, assuming it would be years before this would see the light of day on this format.... glad I was wrong.
