Hey folks,
It's getting to the point where I, as someone who doesn't have a 4K display, but is trying to keep his 4K options open, is getting right damn tired of the glitches. Glitches. Glitches. More glitches. I returned two Indy sets last week before I got a Last Crusade that wasn't completely borked, and tonight I threw on Nobody and there's visual glitching every minute or so, and then around 30 minutes it goes completely haywire. The disc surface looks pristine. I gently wiped away any dust anyway, still garbage. Is this what I have to look forward to with this format? It's really getting tiresome. So tiresome that I find myself pining for the carefree days of watching standard blu-rays. I'll add that this is a replacement player, because my last 420 did this same shit so much that I took it back. Well, the warranty has expired. Is this a Panasonic problem? Should I just not buy their players? Is it specific to this player in particular? Hell, I'll go out and buy a different player if that will end this bullshit. Any advice would be appreciated. (Bear in mind I don't have a 4K display, so I probably don't want to drop a lot of money on a different player, but I'd spend a couple hundred.) Thanks! EDIT: Could it be this old HDMI cable? I was always told they were all the same, and the distance from the player to the TV is like one foot, so I hadn't considered that as a factor. Last edited by balthazar_bee; 07-14-2021 at 11:49 PM. |
