I apologise if this thread (or similar) exists. I'm a bit late to the game in collecting, and truly appreciating, catalog releases on BD and 4k. I happen to have a newly constructed 100" projector in my home so I'm learning all over what is a joy to watch.
Tonight I watched Phantasm. It had been remastered in 4k some years ago and I felt it looked extremely well done. I'm familiar with the recent films and those being filmed/finished digitally. I love them just the same. My question is what do you suggest as "Wow"-worthy BDs for films pre 1990? Don't ask me why I picked that date. It could be my age, me familiarity with newer films, etc. Something a little dated that looks sharp, let it rip. Cheers. |
