I recently updated the Amazon Prime Video app on my Sony BDP-S5200 after being prompted to do so after launching the app. It had been a while - probably a year if not longer - since I’d last used the blu-ray player to watch Amazon Prime. Everything went fine with the update, or so I thought....
Now when I try launching the app something very strange happens. I get a black screen with a small white dotted spinning circle in the center for ten seconds or so and then my player turns off, but right before it turns off completely it acts like it’s restarting and I hear the bd drive moving, notice the led light blink off and then on, and get the black screen with the Blu-ray Disc logo in the center and the sony logo in the upper left corner, just like when I turn on the player. Then it actually turns off. Is anyone else having this problem? |
