Default Against All Odds (Gegen jede Chance)

Does anyone know how the German release of ‘Against All Odds’ compares to the US release. Both seem to have similar extras(?), I just wonder if they (and the film) are English friendly or not on the German release? Also is it Region B locked? The US release is Region A locked.

German extras as listed on amazon Germany:
Entfernte Szenen; Musik Videos; Kino Trailer; Bildergalerie; 2 Audiokommentare: Hackford-Bridges-Woods und Hackford-Hughes;

Funny enough i was looking at this film the other week and wondering the same. The US release is cheap but is region A. The German release looks to be the next best thing.

Had a look at my copy of the German disc this morning. I think its the same transfer as the US disc. It has German and English soundtracks and subtitles can be switched off.

The "Entfernte Szenen" are deleted scenes, introduced by Taylor Hackford.

I don't think they were, but were the two music videos (Phil Collins and Kid Creole and the Coconuts) included in the States release? I had hoped Against All Odds would be one of the titles from Sony's library which UK label Powerhouse Films would do a release of eventually. But sadly no sign yet.

For anyone interested, I got the German disc today.
It’s fully English friendly (including automatic German subtitles on the deleted scenes being removable) and has everything from the US release plus 2 music videos ‘Phil Collins - Against all odds’ and ‘Kid Creole and the Coconuts - My Male Curiosity’ as well as an animated poster and stills gallery scored by the Kid Creole song that runs 1:52.

Wondering what a Powerhouse release could improve on, extras-wise.

Seems eBay is your only option at the moment at inflated prices? I wonder if this is out of print?
As for the U.K. rights holder, not a clue as there’s no info anywhere.
Sorry, not very helpful.

The DVD (over 20 years old) was Sony.
Am hoping if Sony still have UK rights it is part of Indicator's deal with Sony. They have done similar films like Single White Female.

Another in similar vein The Juror is also Sony and Imprint recently did an Australian BD, so that could be Indicator as well.

They got 50 Sony titles from Sony, BD only for UK only (not US) and are working through them, but have never listed what was included. There is lots of back catalogue Sony with old HD masters that have been BDs in UK or overseas that aren't currently available in the UK.
