Default Forrest Gump - 25th Anniversary Release - Blu/DVD Only.

It seems the good people at Universal Sony Pictures aus, are only releasing on blu and dvd, the 25th anniversary release of Forrest Gump, street date for this is: 29/5/2019.
The US and UK got the UHD version of this, the US, at least comes with a Bluray disc as well.

I actually really want them to not screw us with the bonus disc for a change, otherwise it's import time.

I'm more insulted that they released this last year in 4K to begin with instead of just waiting.

Maybe one of the reasons why the distributor is not releasing it again on UHD, only Blu/DVD. 9-10 months after the original release.

While US and UK releases (and several other European editions) of the UHD had both the BD and the bonus disc, the German edition (just like the Australian one) dropped the bonus disc. Even worse, the Italian release is just the UHD, dropping both BDs.

Let’s evaluate this...

The 4K... according to this site ...it crap....
The 4K was released locally only 1 year ago
The US aren’t getting a new 4K release..just repackaged with a new BD scan
The new BD locally will probably be a single disc.... sans all those extras
the 4K locally got screwed with no extras disc

Just know that which ever way... here in Oz.... you will get screwed

Glad I got the BD Sapphire Edition

I am so sick of being treated with contempt by the studios.... Backdraft 4K for eg.
Complaints are never responded to either !

On the back cover of the bluray it states it is full of "Bonus Content" - well I think 2 commentaries and a "Musical Signposts to History" Feature with Introduction (3:54) is not much of a "Bonus Content" , the booklet is ok, nothing special. I would hold onto the 2 disk Sapphire Series if you have it.
