Good luck finding one, it's oos everywhere. It's been backordered on rightstuf since November.

Not sure if this is allowed but Discotek Tweeted about the issue. Nothing is lost, it's just a matter of them moving warehouses. New releases aren't impacted, only previous releases. Though OOS since November sounds like it is beyond the warehouse move...

I believe the issue is that they haven't ordered more from the replicator and they exhausted the first run, as copies go to resellers like Rightstuf and whatnot. The title is one of those that is not one that most people would order, because they are not familiar with it, so it likely hasn't gotten a second run order.

Interesting, IIRC the Japanese Wikipedia article for the film links to a statement by Yasuhiko-sensei saying that he didn't want it released which is why it hasn't had a DVD release in Japan
Plus, I think he was mad on Twitter or somewhere about it getting released outside of Japan

Anyway, a Japanese release that's a new negative scan is welcome news, as the Italian and US BDs are way too grainy, like they came from a 16mm dupe or something

If there's a new transfer and it looks good, I'll buy it. I love the 70's-80's and early 90's anime and the more of it that I can get in HD, the happier I will be.

I've asked a retailer recently (animecornerstore) and he said they have placed a order for more, so they haven't told retailers it's oop. It stinks because I really want a copy, since I found out mine had some scratches I didn't see and it skips in places.

I actually did make a new order and they were about to ship both, but they managed to stop from sending duplicates and I got a refund. I'm sure this will make you happy to hear Gouki.

You see, the issue here is that your orders were months apart, and didnt progress too far in the order process.

I seem to be made to suffer. It's my lot in life.
