“In addition, Viacom's Paramount Pictures has entered an exclusive, long-term distribution agreement for Miramax's film library and an exclusive, long-term first-look agreement allowing Paramount "to develop, produce, finance and distribute new film and television projects based on Miramax's IP." Didn’t see a thread but this seems like a turning point. Paramount hasn’t been extraordinarily kind to their back catalogue on physical media lately given the company has been in a fiscal downturn for a while but since the CBS (re)merger, maybe we’ll get to see some of the Miramax library given to third party distributors? |
