Couldn't go for this first time around and I'm going to pass again. If they're going to re-release a pop art steelbook in 4K they should go for some of the ones that are sold out, if there are any.

Dear lord, please tell me that the text on the bottom is a quarter slip. It must be. No other explanation to that absurd decision.

Doubtful. It's probably the same as the Best Buy exclusive steelbook for the standard BD.

I'll take it anyway. This will be a day-one 4K upgrade for me, might as well get it as a steel.

Just what steelbook collectors want, word vomit on an otherwise good looking case. BB and Sony, please reconsider.

It's designed to look like an era authentic, 1950s car ad. I have the standard steelbook and think it looks far better in hand. It's definitely a unique design though, and I could see why some people possibly might not like it.

It’s printed on the front cover. But it looks nice.

Any chance you could share some pictures of your standard steelbook?

I have the standard steelbook...got it for five bucks even during a BOGO. I kind of like the design, and I was able to trade off the Twilight Time release for a couple of soundtrack albums I wanted, so it was all good.

Yes, sure. It will just take a few minutes to photograph it and upload the pics.

Pics of the standard (1080p) steelbook, of which I assume this will be somewhat similar. This one has what I would consider a semi-matte finish. Just slightly glossy in texture, but not shiny in look. Sorry about the front pic being slightly crooked. I've been up all night and am just heading to bed for a few hours.

"SOMEWHAT" similar... Yea it'll be the same exact one, just with another placeholder.. Just like they did with the Fifth Element 4k steelbook. That's Sony for ya.

Not a fan of Pop Art steelbooks but this is easily one of the worst......passed on this one before and will be doing the same again. Standard 4k edition it is.

It's supposed to be like that and it's based on actual 58 Plymouth literature. Post of the non 4K steelbook years back showing it.

I still like it. But I do think they should have gone a different look instead of recycling it for 4K.

Part of me is happy this movie is getting a 4K release, but the other part of me really loathes this cover and I tend to be pretty open to covers.

It was fugly the last time they released it, and it’s still fugly now. Pop art needs to die. I’ll be picking up the regular 4K UHD edition.

It's pretty terrible looking. I think I read that the standard case will be the same.

Does anyone think Zavvi or someone else will do a 4K steel release of this? If that's the case, I might hold off for better artwork.
