As I mention it was on TVO last night. TVO is a French TV channel we have here in Montreal. Everything is European programming and what I really love about it is the selection of world cinema they show every night.

The restoration was very good, in fact it was the best I ever seen this movie look. The picture was very clean and everything was coming out clearly. The inter-titles were in German with French subs added. The run time was 91 minutes. I don't know how ready it would be for a Blu-ray release as I am no expert but I really like the look it had. As I said the best look I ever seen this movie had. Once it's release on Blu-ray, they have a buyer in me

I emailed Transit Film which put out the Ultimate DVD Set back in 2007 and asked them if they would ever do an HD scan.

The reply was:

Dear Alex,

We are planning a Blu-ray, an exact releasing date will follow.

I also emailed The Murnau Foundation and got this email back:

Dear Alex,

we are planning a 2K restoration of NOSFERATU to be able to offer the film on BluRay. Due to the amount of defects that we are facing in the surviving materials of NOSFERATU, a restoration is quite a challenge. Hence, at this moment we cannot inform you about release dates.

There's going to be an old school red-and-blue 3D theatrical screening in Columbus, OH this weekend and I'll be going to it. It's not my film print, btw. I forget where they said it was sourced from.

It's...okay, but best watched in tandem with John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe in "Shadow of the Vampire".

I went to see it back on the 13th and had a live band. My cousin was She-Gor and I got permission to record the show. I also entered the costume contest and scored third place. So, if you're ever out in Columbus, check out the Grandview.

It was great seeing Nosferatu on the big screen. Even though it was the Orlok the Vampire cut of the film.

Eureka announced Nosferatu 2 days ago!

it will be out in November after a theatrical release in October (UK only, but Kino may do the same in the US. They did it for Metropolis.) The BD will be struck from a new 2K master. Also, new special features!

A steelbook is also coming. The downside is that Eureka BDs are locked. Time to invest in a region free BD player.

So if no one has a multi-region Bluray player, the best Bluray option is going to be the OrlandoEastwood Region A or Region-free bluray.

Yeah, the planned release is for next year sometime. We're looking at licensing out the rights to the films I make so I can get the Blu-ray for Nosferatu ready.
