Sorry to be nitpicky, but it’s Yul Brynner, not Brenner.

It would be cool if they could include the film Meet Marlon Brando by Albert Maysles. It was shot while Brando was doing press for Morituri. Though he's not very complimentary of the film...

Quote:
Two powerful cinematic icons – Marlon Brando as an undercover saboteur and Yul Brynner as a conflicted German captain – add stature and complexity to this thoughtful and gripping yarn of World War II espionage aboard a Nazi freighter with precious cargo that may or may not be destined for a tragic fate. “Brando and Brynner both give strong performances, complementing each other’s role like two sides of the same coin. The psychological theme of divided loyalties is well-handled. A handsome looking film” (The Motion Picture Guide) of rattling suspense sails onto hi-def Blu-ray, earmarked by Oscar®-nominated Conrad Hall cinematography and a superb Jerry Goldsmith score.

Hmmm I just watched the DVD & it looks really good.
$40 (after shipping) for what? A BluRay w/a minor upgrade?
This was before DVDs started looking like shit.
The movie is shot well & very entertaining so I’ll wait for the HD reviews.

I had to order this.
I may be a millennial but I love Brando.
The only other Brando films I’m waiting for on BluRay now are:
Night of the Following Day
&
Burn!

I would love those. My most wanted Brando is this.... In my dream world this would have both versions, the gold colored version (like the Dvd) and the normal color version which was released after the disastrous premier. A Criterion release would be amazing. Stacked with extras and with a commentary explaining what kind of heavy drugs John Huston was using at the time (I am going to guess LSD), since this was about the same time he participated in 2 of my other all time favorite "what the hell were they thinking" movies, Candy and Myra Breckinridge. Then Criterion can give me that upgrade of my The Fugitive Kind Dvd.....

Do not get me wrong I love reflections however, I hate the golden colour with a passion!
It’s such a spectacular story shot so well too!
JH was on no psychoactive drugs he was an old man! ET was beautiful though wow- yes I adore the movie too but I saw it 2 different versions and I never looked the gold version.

I feel the exact opposite. The golden tone throughout the film fits very well with the bizarre atmosphere. I agree though, the thing to do would be to release a BD with both versions.

I just got my copy, $36 big ones!
It looks great, definitely an upgrade to the dvd.
Only features are an informative booklet & 2 trailers for Morituri.
