![]() ![]() Might watch it for Fassbender. Not sure why there's 2 different Amazon listings with different artwork. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DKQ5PSBT/ https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DKQFTTSG/ ![]() Reverse cover: ![]() Last edited by BigNickUK; 10-25-2024 at 12:57 PM. |

WHY ARE THEY STILL RUINING COVERS WITH ALL THESE STUPID QUOTES FROM CRITICS
Edit: Just realised that Blu-ray.com doesn't allow me to post something all in capital letters, unless I also post something in lowercase letters in the same post... Last edited by Caladriusse; 10-25-2024 at 09:57 AM. |

Saw this at the recent film fest in my city. My view:
This tale of two delinquent youths and a language teacher with a mid-life crisis forming the titular Irish hip-hop band was a heartily welcomed crowd-pleaser - think The Full Monty meets Gully Boy with a healthy dash of Trainspotting. The surprising thing for me was to learn that it's based on an actual band and the members (Moglai Bap, Mo Chara and DJ Provai) play a version of themselves. Michael Fassbender does an starry supporting part as an Irish rebel and father of one of the Kneecap-ers. It stays on the side of pat and cute, hinting at but never hitting any truly dark spots, but the movie acknowledges that in its cheeky intro referencing the stereotype of films about Belfast. |

Well, watched that today and loved it.
Had no idea what to expect (I had vaguely heard of Kneecap) but it pulled me in with the story, cast and direction. Those 2 releases on Amazon have been updated and one of the titles now say "Irish Edition". One thing to mention to the makers of the film, I'm in Scotland and I can't apply for a UK passport in Gaelic but people in Wales can apply in Welsh (Cymru) so not sure what "rights" it is we have in Scotland to do with language mentioned in the film. I think we have to pay 10p for a plastic bag in a shop but not aware of any or rights except a few daft things thought up by the Scottish 8/10 |

Ah, so they shot scenes sometimes in 2 languages? I would like that version. The excellent Welsh horror The Feast was mostly in Welsh and it was a struggle for a few moments but you soon get into the film. |

Badenoch is a Poundland politician. Wasting UK tax payers' money on an unlawful and pathetic stunt attacking fellow citizens.
