It'd be great if they could get their hands on the supposed 70mm (blow up) 6-track stereo elements (Australian release), but extremely doubtful.
35mm U.S. prints were mono.

Saw this in the theater back in the early 70s, and remember reading all of Crichton’s titles over the summer at the beach.

Fantastic news! I find the Universal Blu-ray really disappointing in the AV department, so I will happily upgrade.

Yes, the existing BD is nice but after Waterworld I'll buy pretty much any Arrow Universal remaster.

I've been wanting the old disc, but the negative site review always put me off.

Excellent news! Have been meaning to pick up the current Blu-ray for awhile but never got around to it, so now I'll just wait to get this. Glad to see it will be carrying over the "Portrait of Michael Crichton" featurette, too. That's a really nice little interview talking about his beginnings.

Can't believe this year marks the book's 50th anniversary. I first read it back in high school in 1995 and loved it. It's one of my Top 3 favorite Crichton books. And we're getting an authorized sequel novel this fall, too.

Wasn't aware of this, thank you a lot for mentioning it. It's in my top 10 books of all time, so that's pretty exciting.

Without Crichton involved, I have my doubts, but I'm excited nonetheless.

I have the Universal BD inside the DE steelbook. I will probably rebuy this and put it in the DE steelbook because it looks so good.

By the way this is one of Crichton's best novels.
