V The Original Miniseries in 1080p, 1.33:1 with lossless audio would definitely kick ass.

Definitely - both the 1983 & 1984 V mini-series would look great on Blu.

However, I have no interest in seeing the 1984-1985 regular series on Blu; this was fairly sub-par, and you could tell they had a much lower budget than the mini-series - for one thing, the cool 'echo' voices that the V aliens had in the mini-series are completely absent from the series itself...

Just for kicks I fired up DVD Profiler. Purchased this on DVD from Circuit City for $15.99 back on August 20, 2001. Have watched it a number of times over the years and would absolutely love for this to get the Blu-ray treatment. Count me in.

An excerpt from the article linked to above...
Warner Archive Collection covers the past, present and future at 2019 Comic-Con International with a trio of entertaining panels slated for the weekend – a Thursday celebration of Popeye’s 90th Birthday; a Friday revisit to the landmark V: The Original Mini-Series, currently being remastered for Blu-ray; and a spotlight on The Jetsons (for its upcoming newly-remastered-for-Blu-ray release) and the terrific primetime history of Hanna-Barbera.

Warner Archive Celebrates V: The Original Mini-Series
Friday, July 19 – 10:00-11:00am

Fifty spaceships, each three miles across, hover ominously above Earth’s major cities. The Visitors that emerge are humanlike in appearance and extend the hand of friendship—or is it? The ground-breaking 1983 V: The Original Mini-Series is a science fiction spectacular that mixes dynamic special effects with cliffhanger thrills . . . and launched an entire television franchise! Come see creator/producer/writer/director Kenneth Johnson (The Incredible Hulk), series star Marc Singer (Beastmaster, Arrow) and some possible surprise guests along with the Warner Archive Podcast team of D.W. Ferranti and Matthew Patterson and moderator Gary Miereanu as they celebrate this landmark mini-series and discuss the newly-remastered Blu-ray presentation of the heralded production coming from Warner Archive later in 2019.
It's been 18 years since I purchased this 80's sci-fi miniseries classic on DVD. Coming to Blu-ray in 2019. Amazing! Can't wait. After all, The Visitors are our friends.

I caught this miniseries on TV in high-school (late 90s rerun that is) and loved it. It was one of my first DVDs I ever bought and I still have it, but I've been yearning for a high-def copy for the past ten years or so.

This news just made my day.

Wow! That is great. Chances are slim to none the audio will be touched up (remixed to 5.1)

Hoping for a 1.33 aspect ratio.

But Kenneth Johnson seems to be stuck with this 1.85 cropped framing we had on the DVDs.
