Sometime during Spring or Summer, I'm planning on replacing my LG UP875 (served me very well) player with a player that has support for Dolby Vision HDR since I may soon get a Dolby Vision supported TV this Fall. What should I do?
Go for Sony UBP-X700 (I have heard the HDR settings are a bit clunky with this one), the Panasonic DP-UB820, or just wait & see what 2019 brings to the table? I did had LG UBK90 on consideration at first but I dislike how the HDMI-CEC settings work so no more LG Blu-ray players for me, Samsung is obviously out of question since they're backing HDR10+ instead which right now there's barely any content in HDR10+. |
