Back in the late-1980s, when I was in high school, my Methodist church minister went into a long tirade about Hail Mary during a sermon, and about how he resented the filmmakers who would make such a vile and offensive movie.

Naturally, I became curious, and wanted to know more about the movie, but could not find any further information in those lonely pre-internet days in the small rural Georgia city where I lived. Sort of funny that most of us in rural Georgia would have never heard of that movie in the first place had the minister not launched into a tirade about it, but that's another musing for another thread in another forum.

I had forgotten all about this until the announcement of this Blu-ray.

I saw that the Cohen version of this has gone OOP, so thinking of trying to import the Japanese one. Can anyone vouch for English subtitles?
