Not even Daniel Day-Lewis could pull of playing a Lego.

Confused as to how a live-action LEGO movie works. Will it be like Minecraft, where normal human beings travel to a LEGO world? Or will it be real people changed to look like minifigures?

What the hell was the point of 'The Lego Movie'?

That was live action enough with the human characters.

I think when they say "live-action", it just means hybrid. Live actors interacting with CG Legos

I hope so. Something more like the third act of The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part would be the best approach.
