Social satire? What sort of social stupidity and/or vices was being made fun of? Do they typically describe Parasite this way?

I know, I did not find this film satirical at all. It's funny though, I have yet to meet someone who really understands the true meaning of the film. It seems to go over everybody's head.

You don't think the characters in the film are exaggerated to highlight class differences in modern day Korea? Quite clearly satire. But I guess it does go over some people's heads.

It is absolutely a social satire. Probably easier for you to read about it for yourself than for me to try to explain it to you. The internet is at your disposal.

No I don't, maybe you have yet to grasp that in virtually all film the characters and story are exaggerated...By your opinion all films must be satirical.

I find that often the case with Korean movies, with too many characters just being over exaggerated often to the point of being just plain irritating, and I can't quite tell if they are like that as a symptom of bad acting, or a Korean sense of humor that is lost to me in translation. But I'd be surprised if these were being classified as "satires". For example of a couple I've watched recently, Haeundae ("Tidal Wave"), and Gamgi (Flu).

This set would only be worth it for the price if they included some more of Bong Joon-Ho's films like Memories of a Murder and Mother among others.

I would gladly pay for 'Memories of Murder' if they gave it the same treatment.

I MIGHT consider this set if the B&W version was also in 4K, but since I already have the 4K version I would probably go with the Criterion edition if I felt inclined to add the B&W version to my collection.
