Default Plextor PX-B900A is shipping

Lowest price I have seen so far is US$875 ... too high considering the Sony and Panasonic have been seen for $700

http://www.compuplus.com/i-Plextor-B...-1007882~.html

It appears to be bundled with WinDVD.

Edit: Price now shows $889.50. When I entered through Froogle it gave me the $875 price. What games are they playing?

If I were doing a HTPC, I would probably go with the Sony just based on looks. The front bezel of that thing looks sexy. But for pure performance, I would go with Plextor. Nice to see the products finally hitting retail.

I'm waiting for the BenQ (which is SATA). My motherboard only has one IDE connector! The SATA BIOS claims to support optical drives.
