i know i'm way behind the times just got an Xbox 1s. i don't really play online as my skills aren't that great (and i'm an old guy). for me it is the campaign that i enjoy playing. i'm offline with my x-box. currently i have Deus Ex Mankind, Rise Of The Tomb Raider, DooM (2016) and Fallout 4

Doom 2016 is great, if you liked it and wanted more pick up Doom Eternal
Others games on top of my head the Resident Evil games (2 and 7 would be my recommendation) Assassin’s Creed Origins The Witcher 3 Red Dead Redemption 2 GTA V Titanfall 2 Halo and Gears of Wars campaigns Far Cry Series Batman Arkham Series Skyrim If you’re ok with hard games: Sekiro Dark Souls 1-3 |

Since you liked DOOM, I'd suggest Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Old Blood. Then maybe Wolfenstein II, but I think it's a bit of a mixed bag.
Hollow Knight is one of the best Metroid-style adventures around and I can't overstate how much I love it. And if you're into retro shooters, then you might want to check out Ion Fury, which is getting a console release soon (I played it on PC and enjoyed it). |

Dying Light was my favorite game of the generation. The Enhanced Edition includes the expansion The Following, a mini-sequel, which nearly doubles the amount of content in the game. Additionally, it works very well on the Xbox One S, in contrast to most of the bigger named games.
If you never played it before, I would recommend you pick up Kingdoms of Amalur. The 360 version plays on Xbox One through backwards compatibility. It's easy to pick up the combat mechanics and it's very much an action game, despite being wrapped in the skin of an open world RPG. |

Shame the company put so much money into the game and their workers that they were no longer financially viable and went kaput |

I'll buy it again ONLY if it's been increased to 60fps. A bump in resolution and texture detail won't really enhance this game as its art style doesn't depend on those things. But for anyone who doesn't own it yet, the remaster will undoubtedly be the way to go. |
