A24 has partnered with putting releases up on DirectTV early before (I think Life After Beth, Mississippi Grind, and The Exception were other ones). But they don't do it with any of their big titles since it would of course keep films from playing in most theater chains, and makes them ineligible for major awards.

When I saw the trailer I thought it was too bad it wasn't getting a wide release. After seeing it I can say the movie ended up right where it belongs. This is beautifully shot and does have a couple of creepy moments but damn is it incredibly generic and mostly uninteresting. It doesn't go anywhere special. Not worth watching unless you check it out when it's eventually streaming for free somewhere.

Heard good things about this at Sundance. Then I came across it on DirecTV's PPV lineup. It's only $10.99. Not bad and I can watch at home.

Agree. Was kinda mad when I saw it at Sundance cause it's sooo boring and the tropes are so overdone. Made me really question the selection process for the "best" film festival out there. The score (while effective) is so over the top compared to the rest of the film.

I was doing the same thing thing on Netflix. The My List was endless deleted it all.

Now I actually get to watch more on Netflix.

Seána Kerslake is great in everything. Even interviews.

Of course, like most Irish movies it won't get a cinema release in Ireland. Thankfully they sometimes get to iTunes.
