They mentioned that Toshiba was cutting prices in half due to a string of victories for Blu-Ray and due to Warner Bros. announcing they were releasing on Blu-Ray only..I doubt this will change much if big box retailers have thrown HD-DVD on the backburner and are not ordering replacement units.

Isn't NBC4 standard def?
I watch ABC7 or KTLA, both are in HD.

Geez I just can't stand watching SD stations anymore on my LCD screen.

these reports are pointing out two things... to-shit-ba is having a fire sale and warner is bluray exclusive... so... in my mind, wow, someone tell me why would i spend a dime on HD DVD now??? cheap... yes... makes a difference... nope, cause i can't watch THE DARK KNIGHT in HD later this year... hah, HD DVD, you're gay!

Well if that is correct the consumer will know that Blu has won the battle. Time to buy a blu-player.
