Default IN DEVELOPMENT: Hulu's "Ghost Rider"

Quote:
MovieCreedLive has possibly revealed the next three Marvel characters who will be featured in their own solo Netflix series alongside The Punisher in the near future. According to their sources, Blade, Ghost Rider, and Moon Knight are being considered for their own series. Blade is a human/vampire hybrid who hunts and kills vampires, while Ghost Rider is the spirit of vengeance who possesses Johnny Blaze.

Both Marvel characters have appeared in feature-length films played by actors Wesley Snipes and Nicholas Cage respectively. Moon Knight on the other hand is a third-tier hero who is described as "Marvel's version of Batman."

The similarities include Moon Knight's millionaire alter-ego Steven Grant and the fact he uses a vast array of gadgets and weaponry to stop criminals.

The two new series would be joined by "THE PUNISHER" series starring "THE WALKING DEAD" actor Jon Bernthal who appeared as Frank Castle in season two of Marvel and Netflix's "DAREDEVIL" starring Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Elodie Yung, and Vincent D'Onofrio. Let us know what you think? Sound off below.

Ghost Rider?... Interesting. It's not even happened yet, but I'm going on record as saying that it will be better than the two previous movies

the first was atleast watchable but the 2nd was terrible, but this will be done by Marvel so obviously it'll be better.

Yeah, I enjoyed the first movie well enough. A little stiffly-shot at times but I still liked it. Never saw the second movie. Haven't seen any of Marvel's Netflix shows yet but I'm definitely curious about this.

Ghost Rider would be interesting if they had the budget for the special effects. But The Flash's is excellent, so hopefully Netflix/Marvel could do the same. I just hope if they do a Blade series it's not connected at all. Marvel's getting weird with Doctor Strange which I'm not sold on yet, and I don't want vampires in that universe. Luckily with the way Marvel's been treating it's TV counter parts (which I'm not happy about), we won't have to worry about that though (but will with Doctor Strange and Infinity War).

It'll still be a part of the MCU. He may not be in the film's but he'll definitely interact with the more street level heroes. DareDevil already started mapping out pieces to allow vampiric societies and such anyway. It's like the pieces are already being put together. The MCU is vast, so anything can happen on a larger or smaller scale. That's why I'm not bothered the shows don't connect more to the movies. They do with little things, but in a whole massive universe, you don't have to force the pieces together and make them crossover. Just letting them be their own stories in a bigger picture is more than enough.

Haven't been excited much for any of the superhero films, but a Ghost Rider series has my interest.

It Sounds Like GHOST RIDER May Be Getting His Own Series After AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Introduction
Quote:
When it was first revealed that Ghost Rider was coming to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., many viewers weren't particularly happy. There were concerns about the quality of the special effects for starters, while Robbie Reyes being the Spirit of Vengeance disappointed fans of Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch. However, since making his debut, everyone has had nothing but good things to say about him.

That's something actor Gabriel Luna talks about in the video below, but it's far from the main highlight. Asked about the possibility of a solo spinoff for Ghost Rider somewhere down the line, he replied: "You know, there's been rumblings about that. It depends on how much you love it. If you love it, we'll make it." A series on ABC revolving around the character has a ton of potential and could actually lead to the hosts mentioned above also being added to the Marvel Cinematic Universe before too long.

We'll just have to wait and see for now, but a Ghost Rider show could be a lot of fun, don't you think?

I'm fine with more Netflix shows, but they need to work out how to do them simultaneously. Waiting 2+ years for more seasons isn't going to cut it.

Given the darker tone of the Netflix shows, I doubt I'll watch any of these. I've liked most of Daredevil, but even that one pushed things too much for me at times.

Luke Cage isn't dark like DD. Give it a go!

Ghost Rider seems awfully special effects heavy for a Netflix series.

Ghost rider thematically doesn't fit on ABC, it fits more on Netflix.

The Marvel Knights belong on Netflix.

First of all, if Marvel has a Batman equivalent, then it is Daredevil. From guarding the city to extensive martial arts training, it's all there.

Blade would make for a sweet Netflix series. I'm on the edge of my seat for the Punisher series, and hope it resembles the Punisher: War Zone movie.

If the Netflix Ghost Rider is Johnny Blaze, then I'm in. Otherwise, hard pass.

Darker and grittier the better; bring it and give us something different!

Daredevil is close to Batman, but Moon Knight is closer to The Dark Knight.

He had butler name Frenchie, Moon gadgets, and a Moon-Copter in the '70s.

He's ultra-rich
He mostly plays at night
He's a vigilante
He's a non-Super
He prefers melee weaponry and hand-thrown projectiles
He has a variety of gadgets and vehicles
He has a "cave" under his mansion!!
And he has a set theme to all of his paraphernalia (Crescent Darts/Batarang; Mooncopter/Batplane)
But Marvel's "Batman" is T'Challa The Black Panther.

I skipped over it, and bailed after the "king's beating" scene. But it wasn't just about that; I'm sick of these shows being so dark in general. You expect it with a character like Daredevil, but I was hoping for more variety. Instead, it seems Marvel's using Netflix to showcase their "doom and gloom" side.
