I like it too. It certainly is good news for fans. Funnily enough, I've had the Japanese disc for a couple of years, but I've never gotten around to watching it.

That went OOP before I could get it unfortunately (ordered twice via cdjapan, eventually they cancelled it both times).

Are these the American ones again ?

I wish someone would do a BD set of the Japanese Ring trilogy.

I've got the first one on Blu already (with its bloody awful colour re-timing) and haven't yet seen the third, so ... I guess any time you buy a set, there are likely to be double-ups. But I do think the second one didn't get much of a fair go when it was first released, so I'd be happy to have that.

I'd like to see at least the first one released in HD, though from memory the others got a bit melodramatic and lost power as the series went on. (Usual story, I guess.) And, to be honest, I personally preferred the US remake.

This trilogy set has been scrapped, at least for now according to the distributor.

This is still listed as coming on the 31st of May in JB HiFi's in store database. It's likely that their system just hasn't been updated. However, I will contact the distributor about it tomorrow just to confirm that it has indeed been cancelled, in case something has changed, and they are now releasing it as a JB HiFi exclusive.

It's not being released as a JB HiFi exclusive unfortunately, it's definitely been cancelled.

Hmmm....bluray.com lists this as 128 minutes. Ezydvd has it at 120 min. I wonder, via some miracle, this might be the unrated version?? Shock has no info at all about this on their site.

Shock basically never has accurate info for their releases. It's on shelves as of today apparently, so I guess we'll just have to wait on someone picking it up to see how the release turned out.
