Blu-Ray Disc Crack - affect data?

Hi, i'm looking at buying a used blu ray set of the Sopranos Season 6 Part 1 and Part 2. the seller has described 1 of the discs as having a crack on the inner ring. i requested pictures as i'm not sure if this crack is where any of the data of the disc would be??

the seller has said that the disc plays back fine in both of his blu ray players.

i was hoping someone here with experienced could tell me if this crack will affect the data on the disc or if the disc is likely safe.
