Default rainbow effect

Thousands of years ago, my first large screen tv was a dlp and the rainbow effect was very distracting. I am now thinking of a Projection tv. Should I stay away from DLP? or have things improved? Thank you.

Yes DLP projectors have improved greatly, but fo those folks who can see the rainbows and depending on which TV DLP chip that is used you may still see the rainbow effect.

Also 3 chip LCD projects deliver deeper black and higher contrast so it might be best to consider on of the many new 3 chip LCD projectors. If you live near NY we have two theater demos set up and I'd love to demonstrate them to you.
