Yet another I grew up with. Too bad it didn't spawn any sequels.

Directed by Guy Hamilton, who made a number of good and bad Bond films. I have a soft spot for this film, so I’ll definitely be buying it.

Way to go Kino! So many great set pieces in this, and lots of great character actors.
Fred Ward, Joel Grey, and Kate Mulgrew make this great. It’s RoboCop without the metal suit.
Already have the bluray, can’t wait to order this.

I watched this movie something like 100 times in the 80s.
It's awesome.

Definitely will buy this.

A good Wilford Brimley role, too.

I feel like this film's reputation is hurt by there not being more movies. They outta make a sequel with Jon Bernthal.

Original poster art accurately depicts Fred Ward attempting any physical stunts in this movie. Arguably an even worse hire than casting Joel Grey as a Korean supernatural martial arts guru and transforming him into Joel Grey slathered in five pounds of makeup.

It's a shame we didn't get a whole Remo Williams franchise and a couple of spinoffs.

Remo could have been the John Wick of the 80s.

One of the greatest films ever made!

I'm Korean and let me tell you, Joel Grey was dead on.

I thought there was something off with that character lol. They couldn't find a real Asian actor to play that role? Still, Joel Grey was convincing enough haha

I popped in my Arrow Blu-ray to revisit the film to see if it's worth upgrading. Turns out I'd only seen part of the film. Looking at it now, I won't be buying it again. For starters, the Arrow BD looks phenomenal already. The film was OK but I'm not in love with it. It almost felt like a sendup of comedic action movies except it took itself seriously. The training stuff gave me Karate Kid vibes. I actually thought that slowed the film down and it just made me feel like skipping through it, ngl. Towards the end I'd felt like I just watched an episode of MacGyver or some other 80's TV show.

The Blu-ray will stay firmly in place on my shelves. No need to upgrade.
