Personally missed out during the early FF days including 7. Played it during the PS3 gen using BC but it just was not the same. Got FFXII on a remaster and need to finish that too. Liked the remaster so far though.

It's so hard looking at this then looking at VII Remake. I want to play VIII again, but I also want it to get the treatment VII has.

Well, if FF7s remake does really well, Square might be open to remaking the others at some point too. I would say for the time being though, having a remaster is probably a decent stop gap.

If Square remakes anything else gimmie Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana before ANYTHING else, I wouldnt mind seeing FF 4-6 remade either but the first 2 on my list are up there with 7.

I'd be happy with a Chrono Trigger remaster, a legit one, not the mobile shit they put on pc

the same game, better visuals, and QoL enhancements like speed-up

I'm kinda the same; 8 was my favorite, and it's great that it'll look nicer on modern TVs, but I'd like to see it with modern-ish graphics and voicework.

Only gameplay change I'd want would be bonus levels.

There were rumors of physical release. Another dilemma on whether to download on release day with the possibility of a physical release later.

Does seeing a little less thigh really change things up much though?

Overall i quite like the extra detail added to the models

Sure the quality on the character models improved but there is no way in hell I am going to be happy with censorship in my games.

I think we're gonna view this from 2 different sides tbh. That censorship on nudity etc. doesn't really bother me personally. I'm more bothered when it seems silly to censor violence.

To me, that above change doesn't affect the game much at all. Tbh, i'd probably he hard pressed to find a similar example at all that bothered me.

That's what bothers me about the change though. Who in the hell would have noticed this if it wasn't changed and caused an uproar about it? It's not even nudity, there's nothing sexual about the context at all so I really wonder who it was that said hold up this needs to be covered up.

The games been around for decades and I can't recall anyone complaining about it before.

Is this getting a Chinese release? That's the only reason I could imagine something like this causing an issue.

If i had to guess, the original asset wasn't copied 1:1 which you can see by playing a little "Spot the difference" and the artist may have preferred their own version not having that design around the legs and well, let's be frank, vagina covering. So it could be artist prerogative over say censorship.

I also don't see why the change should be a reason of complaint though from my perspective. It materially doesn't change the game. Some will say "Will, so why did they need to change it" but to me it's a case of changing it doesn't change the game. It's just a slight enemy design change.
