I never really took much notice of the menu screens until I got a decent size screen and a few speakers.
So I put in 'Lucy' last week and the menu screen popped up and the music started playing in the background and I just said 'WoW'! The screen size, detail, music and Scarlett Johansson all just came together nicely to have me amped to start the movie. Two other menu screens that have grabbed my attention are 'Fury'. The image of Brad Pitt leaning on the tank gun with that haunting score in background. And 'Alien: Romulus', That image of the attached facehugger with slight movement in the background gives it a 3D effect, the red colour that fills the room and again the musical score all adding to it. There are some menu screens that I don't like, especially when they haven't put any effort into it or they turn it into a trailer for the movie. 'Die Hard' for example. 'Misson Impossible: Fallout' they pretty much show every major scene in the movie before you even press play. What your favorite movie menu screen? |
