Default Do you keep Slipcovers ?

I am not a fan of slipcovers but every single 4K uhd that comes out in the uk has a slipcover. Do you guys keep them or get rid of them?

I keep them as they further protect the Disc caddy as well as offer additional artwork. If you are selling media, I expect its a bit more valuable to have it with the supplied slip. I do see people online complaining frequently when they don't get a slip when buying the 4K media.

Interestingly, I’m the complete opposite in that I actively seek out Slipcovers. I can’t rest until I have the specific Slipcover for that release.

On a side note, feel free to donate them to a good cause.....ie myself

the clear plastic sheet that holds the cover inserts on a keep case get really ratty looking over time. slips seem to prevent this, and they dont seem to get ratty looking under similar handling.. Seems like cases without slips end up looking like rental copies over time.

If they come with a movie I keep it; I paid for it so why not. Maybe it gives a little extra protection.

If a movie comes without one, whatever; I bought the movie for the movie, not the package.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I recycle them, of course. I have been keeping mine for a while, especially with blind buys, in case I decide I want to sell the disc. They're a lot easier to sell with the slip since quite a lot of collectors do care about them.

I wonder how many people who don't save them will still grab a slip copy in the store when they also have stock without just so they can go home and throw it away.

i've been throwing them into an ottoman for the past 15 years. seems a shame to throw them away even though i don't use them.

Recycle bin. Since I don't value them, it is just an unecessary step for me to go through when getting a disk out and when putting away.

Absolutely must have slipcovers. My 4k collection is complete in that every release I own that was released with a slipcover I have. I've specifically ordered from eBay at times to get releases I missed to make sure I get the slipcover.
