Question - Blu-ray Forum

Recently I noticed under my profile I had 74 movies, but actually I have 72 movies. When I click on 74 to check my collection it says
''My movie collection (74 movies, 72 SKUs)'' .

What exactly does that mean? I'm confused.

means a stock-keeping unit.

SKU - A 'Stock-Keeping Unit'. An alphanumeric string that can contain information such as Vender, Collection, Design and Color. Merchants can use their own approach. This is different from the purly numeric UPC or 'Universal Product Code' where all venders, at least in the United States and Canada, will use the same code for a given item.

Sorry to post here but I'm relatively new and it won't let me start a new thread.

I tried to enter the Wolf of Wall Street giveaway by posting on it, but when I clicked "post", it didn't post anything and led me to a white page, which turned out to be an unloaded blu ray news page. How do I fix this?

I think you need to post one reply in the forum's threads, which you've just done. Try the giveaway again.

How do you? suggest additions to the movie database. I am trying to build my collection on here and the few I've tried so far don't exist in the DB.... Instructions on my mobile tell me to search out any title and then select 'Add new movie' ….I don't see that option anywhere ….. any help would be appreciated

Hi,

I'm not a moderator/administrator, but my understanding is that the current rules seem to be that new members need 10 or more posts, plus a wait of 30 days, to start adding new items to the database. Sorry.

I can say that there's a great deal in the database, but it mostly relies on member contributions, so there are always things missing.

But if you're not finding anything, then I'm wondering if there might be a problem with the searching? Occasionally entries are missing a UPC and/or EAN number if you're searching by that? Or sometimes things are there, but under an alternate title? But there's still quite a lot there, so I'm wondering if it could be another problem?

If you could give an example or two of what you're searching for then I'd be happy to double-check.

Yes. Let us know what's missing and one of us can add it if it's not there.

Hello -- I'm not very tech knowledgeable, but am wondering if there us a viewing difference between --
-- a blu ray player for my pc with a 1080 monitor and
-- a portable blu ray player with a 1080 (or lower) monitor?

Wondering if either is worth buying to view blu ray dvds (as blu ray). Any insight appreciated! Thank you!
