Default Blood & Treasure

I like this show reminds me of Indy/ Relic Hunter I searched for an existing thread and couldn't find one.

With season two finishing recently does anyone know if a third is planned? I know Covid delayed the second season and it sort of just appeared but it's a decent show with great effects and some likeable characters.

Did anyone else enjoy the show?

Season 2 was filmed so long ago that the lead actor has moved onto another show, so if there were to be a season 3, it'd have to be shot between seasons of Walker: Independence.

Yes I enjoyed the show and yea it does remind me of Relic Hunter. Who knows if season 3 will happen but I would welcome it.

I enjoyed the first season quite a bit but I thought season 2 wasn’t up to the first season.

Wow, I knew it was renewed then nothing due to Covid but I didn't expect the cast to have moved on. I thought this is what happened to Gwen but it was a long time between seasons 1&2 so it was understandable. Shame hopefully it gets another season it's just a decent show the cast has good chemistry and they do a great job with the probably limited budget they have.

Thought this had a lot of potential as a National Treasure type show but wasted most of it with smug characters & tedious plotting.

The first season had about 4 episodes worth of story spread out over 12 very long episodes & I gave up on the second after it turned out
[Show spoiler]the 'kidnapped' girl was in on her own kidnapping, & despite the fact she was the only reason our heroes were going after the mcguffin in the first place, once they found out she was in on it, they still continued their search. There was absolutely no reason for them to carry on, other than being 'noble'.

I'm hoping the actual National Treasure TV show will be more engaging & better written, but I'm not holding my breath.

Season 2 of this actually happened?

I remember the first season being fun enough, and the main girl getting smacked with mega comeuppance when she spent the series ragging on white people, but the big revelation was that she herself had white ancestry

I don't remember that but do recall it was greenlit for a second season then Covid hit and nothing. To be honest I thought it was cancelled but the second season just came out of nowhere.

I enjoyed it as all but one of the main cast came back and they travelled around a lot more. I realise that it's hardly a televisual masterpiece but it's well made and looks much better than its budget belies.

Hopefully, we'll hear either way if it comes back.

I'll have to track it down. Looks like it was exclusively on Paramount+ for Season 2. Oof, I have friends & family who are always on P+ and they didn't know that S2 had dropped either, guess that means CBS wanted to memory-hole it?

In Season 1, Lexi made dismissive & scoffing quips to Danny about "white people" things. Then she was told that she was
[Show spoiler]descended from Cleopatra
, making her not as above those whipepo things as she thought. A bit like King of the Hill, when Hank Hill based his entire identity on being a Texan, only to discover that he was born in a bathroom in Yankee Stadium, about as anti-Texan as he could get. Or Downton Abbey, when the proud British patriarch fears that he might be the lovechild of a Frenchman
